The Nexus

WELCOME TO THE NEXUS. THIS IS THE FOCAL POINT OF THE ENTIRE STAR TREK: UNITY CROSSOVER. WITHIN THIS SITE, YOU MAY TRAVEL TO ALL OF THE WEB SITES INVOLVED IN THIS MAMMOTH PROJECT AND IN THE END, WILL BE ABLE TO READ THE CULMINATION OF THE "MULTI-PHASIC" GRAND FINALE.

Several authors of original Star Trek fiction have come together to create an epic in honor of STAR TREK'S 35th ANNIVERSARY. The result is the following collection and Grand Finale in which all sites that exist in the DS9/Voyager timeframe will participate.

So, sit back, get your Raktajino ready and prepare for UNITY.
Star Trek: Unity

Introduction to the "revived" Nexus by Jay L.R., author of Star Trek: Swiftfire

In 2009 I was saddened to see that "The Nexus", the official site of the Star Trek: Unity crossover had been removed.  Not only is that sad in the fact that readers could no longer access the crossover in its entirety but the site also included the only examples of work from fan fiction series that are no longer around, namely The Excalibur Epics, Adventure, Scipio Chronicles, and The Legend Continues.

So that this frankly amazing and unsurpassed event doesn't disappear forever I decided to resurrect the site.  I had saved the pages of the site offline for easy access and I have most of the stories that were involved.  Unfortunately I don't have all the stories and I lack copies of several of the individual stories that went into "United We Stand" but what I had is now here for others to enjoy.

Since this site was rescued most of the content was not created by me.  To make this clear all the text that was from the original site and written by Joseph Gatch is the coloured text with any new text that has been added by me in white.  The images (save the link banners) were also created by Gatch (as far as I know, if there is some dispute contact me and I'll credit the correct party).  My purpose here is not to take credit for the work that was done for the original site, all I want to do is allow for other Star Trek fans to be able to access this material and enjoy the tale that the authors who were part of Star Trek: Unity worked hard on.

I am unaware of another Star Trek fan fiction crossover project that has rivaled Star Trek: Unity in size.  After 10 years that speaks to the difficulty involved in such an endeavour and to the efforts and fortitude of Joseph Gatch who created and organised this all.  It wasn't perfect by any means but I do think it was something special and I am proud and honoured that I was able to take part in it.
